AVIY0028 Operate RPA in excluded category 

 

Suggested age 14 and up. The course is applicable to personnel who pilot Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) in the excluded category sub-2 kg operations in visual line of sight (VLOS). This course covers flight planning, pre-flight inspection, operating an RPAS during normal flight, managing an RPAS during abnormal or emergency procedures and landing.

AVI30419 Certificate III in aviation (remote pilot)

 

Suggested age 14 and up. This course is relevant to individuals operating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). We provide all the material, which is a mixture of class workbooks, online materials, flight logbooks and assessment material.  Knowledge tasks are completed online and assessment activities (e.g. flying drone) are documented in CASA approved documents and uploaded online as further evidence.

AVI40422 - Certificate IV in Aviation (Remote Pilot-BVLOS)

 

This qualification is relevant to individuals operating remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and national operating standards. Remote pilots operating at this level will apply advanced technical and non-technical knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy and judgement and will take limited responsibility in known and stable operational contexts within established regulatory parameters.

 

AVI59922 - Diploma of Aviation (Chief Remote Pilot)

 

This qualification is intended for remote pilots who wish to enter the CRP role; those who are currently holding the position of, or acting in the position of CRP; those who are responsible for remote flight operations management within an organisation; or those looking to enhance their level of understanding of flight operations and operational risk.

Entry Requirements - Either hold a RePL or AVI30419 and AROC
