Aviation (Drone) Education and Training
At Drone Operations, we specialise in delivering high-quality Aviation (Drone) Education and Training across Australia. Our programs cater to schools (Years 4–12) as well as adult learners seeking to develop skills in drone technology, safety, and compliance.
We provide comprehensive Drone Excluded Category Training and CASA Operator Accreditation, ensuring all participants understand the regulatory, operational, and safety requirements established by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).
Through our Excluded Category framework, participants learn how they can fly drones legally for work or business purposes without the need for a Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) — opening opportunities to earn income while remaining fully compliant with CASA regulations.
Our offerings range from introductory courses through to Nationally Accredited Qualifications, including the AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot). These programs combine theoretical knowledge with practical flight experience, preparing students and adults alike for future opportunities in the aviation and technology sectors.
At Drone Operations, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of education, safety, and regulatory compliance, supporting schools, educators, and the wider community in advancing Australia’s aviation capabilities.

Under CASA’s current drone safety rules, if you are flying a drone or model aircraft that weighs more than 250 grams for business or work purposes, you must hold an Operator Accreditation to show that you understand the safety rules, and you must also register your drone with CASA.
If you are flying purely for fun or recreation, you do not need to register or get accredited — but you must still follow all standard drone safety rules.
